Maine author and illustrator Lisa Jahn-Clough will be on hand with her dog Happy, as the Animal Refuge League celebrates Kids Day on Saturday, June 27.
Happy is the inspiration for her book, “Little Dog.” Copies will be available and she will be signing, as well.
Kids Day runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the shelter, located at 449 Stroudwater St. in Westbrook. Events include balloon animals, face painting, coloring contest, games, petting pen and shelter tours.
