6/29 at 5:44 p.m. B.J. Johnson, 18, of Payne Road, Scarborough, was arrested by Officer Glenn Tucker and charged with theft by unauthorized use of property.

7/2 at 9:23 p.m. Kevin Jackson, 37, of Lincoln Street, South Portland, was arrested by Officer Glenn Tucker on a warrant.

6/29 at 11:30 a.m. Police received a report from a Maple Avenue resident that a 12-inch gnome had disappeared from the yard. Valued at $200, the gnome was described as wearing a red hat and blue pants. The report did not specify whether he was clean-shaven or a bearded gnome.

A shot of color

6/30 at 1:19 p.m.  A Ryefield Drive resident reported her house had been paintballed. She discovered the paint after hearing a loud banging noise. Though she had managed to wash it off, the woman wanted to alert police.

The lawn and winding road

7/3 at 8:46 a.m. A vehicle had driven repeatedly around a pond on a Labrador Lane resident’s property, causing extensive damage to the lawn. From the tire tracks, it appeared to have been a truck which could have suffered damage as it looked like it had struck at least one large rock, police said. Damages to the lawn were estimated to be between $2,500 and $3,500. A pin marking the property line had also been hit and driven into the ground.
