9/30 at 6:20 a.m. Nicholas Zegouros, 27, of Oak Street, Brunswick, was arrested by Officer Alfred Giusto on a warrant.

9/30 at 9:34 a.m. James Matthews Jr., 40, of Angel Street, Lisbon Falls, was arrested by Officer William Collins on a charge of operating without a license and on two warrants.

10/3 at 5:43 p.m. David Foster, 70, of Foreside Road, was arrested by Officer Mark Teceno on a charge of operating under the influence.  

Summonses

9/28 at 3:22 p.m. Harry Simpson, 27, of Congress Circle, was issued a summons by Officer Robert Ramsay on a charge of operating with a suspended registration.

9/29 at 8:26 a.m. Joel Toothaker, 47, of Pinkham Point Road, Harpswell, was issued a summons by Officer Robert Ramsay on a charge of operating with an expired license for more than 90 days.

Foiled fraud

10/1 at 10:35 a.m. Officer Mark Teceno responded to the report of an attempted fraud. An elderly women said she received phone calls from two men, one who said he was her nephew, and the other who said he was a Canadian law enforcement officer. Both claimed her nephew was under arrest in Canada after being stopped at the border and found with illegal drugs. Both asked that she wire or money gram $5,000 to an “international bondsman” at a London, England, address in order to bail out her nephew. The woman reportedly knew the call was an attempted scam, and she sent no money. Her report was forwarded to the Portland office of the U.S. Secret Service.
