BRIDGTON — Officials in the western Maine community of Bridgton say it could take Town Manager Mitchell Berkowitz three months to recover from injuries suffered while removing a tree downed during last week’s snow and wind storm.
Town spokeswoman Georgiann Fleck says Berkowitz will require surgery for his injuries.
She says the Board of Selectmen met Tuesday to develop a plan to keep operating during Berkowitz’s absence.
Fleck says the town remains behind Berkowitz 100 percent.
