South Portland Police have released photos of the people they believe were involved in the theft of about $160,000 worth of jewelry from a Maine Mall store earlier this week.
The police said they got the photos from the Day’s Jewelry store in Auburn, which the three suspects entered the day after the theft at the G.M. Pollack & Sons in South Portland.
Police said there was no theft at the Day’s store but that the people seen there matched the descriptions of the suspects.
In the G.M. Pollack & Sons theft, two people blocked workers’ views of the front of the store while a third broke into a display case containing bracelets and a pair of earrings, according to police.
