HART in Cumberland has 130 cats available as well as some in foster care. For pictures, please go to www.hartofme.com or call 829-4116. HART is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Here are a few awaiting adoption:

Angel II is a beautiful Snowshoe Siamese adult female, about 5-6 years old. She is in a foster home. She has wonderful markings and very bright blue eyes, Angel is used to other cats and dogs and is very affectionate and laid back. She is a true angel!

Nori is a delightful young mom who has raised her litter. This pretty girl is a classically beautiful dark tabby with an exceptionally soft silky coat. She has lovely dark striking swirls and big yellow eyes. Nori loves to snuggle close and purrs up a storm. She is barely over a year old and is quite playful. She is used to activity and would do fine with kids and other pets.

Tommy is a very handsome tiger male, affectionate and loving and enjoys being with people. Tommy would be happy in a quiet home with no other cats. He has great long whiskers and a cute white bib and paws.

 

ANIMAL REFUGE LEAGUE

Turner is a 3-year-old handsome shepherd/husky transferred from another shelter. His age is estimated at three years old. Like shepherds and huskies, Turner is highly anxious in the kennel environment. He appears to have an enormous energy level, but in fact his behavioral assessment indicated he is, at heart, a much quieter boy. He should prove to be a wonderful pet. Come in for an introduction to Turner in our play yard. If you throw a tennis ball for him, he’ll love you. Lucy, a 5-year-old spayed female short-haired black/white cat, has known two homes in a very short time. Her second owner took her in from her first owner. Then, after three months, her second owner had to move. Her second owner reported that Lucy likes to play with ping-pong balls. A good, steady, predictable home with someone who can ‘read’ her would be perfect for Lucy right now. Lucy arrived with some ear mites in tow, but they have been ejected and all is well inside her delicate ears.

Nadine is a beautiful 8-year old mixed-breed dog. Nadine is a friendly girl that is looking for that special someone. She is very laid back and will do just fine sharing her new home with some other dogs, cats and children over the age of six. Nadine is a smart girl that knows the command sit and would love to learn more. She is fully house trained and rides very nicely in the car.

Gypsy Rose is a sweet and petite one year old that has a beautiful short black coat. Gypsy Rose is a laid back girl that will do just fine sharing her new home with other cats and respectful children.

Charlie is a one-and-a-half year old mixed-breed bunny. It would be great if his new people handle him on a daily basis in order to keep him as friendly as possible.
