ROCHESTER, N.H. — A 17-year-old Maine girl is facing charges she was under the influence of alcohol and speeding when she hit a utility pole on a New Hampshire highway, killing two passengers in her vehicle.

Foster’s Daily Democrat says Latoya Fletcher of Berwick, Maine, was indicted this month on felony manslaughter and negligent homicide charges in the deaths of 18-year-old Andrew Lane of Rochester, N.H., and 21-year-old Luke Pendexter of Berwick

Rochester police say Fletcher was driving around midnight on Dec. 5 in East Rochester when she hit the pole.

Fletcher received minor injuries, but the two men were thrown from the vehicle and killed.

Police say Fletcher is due in court next week. She could be sentenced to 30 years in prison.
