ORONO — A frigid spring forecast calling for wind chills in the single digits has delayed the home opener for Maine’s baseball team.
Maine (7-12) opted to postpone its Friday night game against Lehigh. Instead, the Black Bears will play a pair of double-headers on Saturday and Sunday.
The weather is a rude awakening for the Bears, who played their first 15 games in Texas, Florida and North Carolina. Last weekend, they played at Oregon State.
