CLINTON — Police say a man has been shot by an intruder in his home in the central Maine town of Clinton.
Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said 33-year-old Dana Dodge told police a man entered his Battle Ridge Road house shortly after noon today, came into his bedroom and shot him once in the abdomen with a handgun.
McCausland said Dodge grabbed his own gun and fired several shots in return, but there was no indication he hit the intruder. He said Dodge was treated at a hospital for a minor wound and released.
Police said they are searching for the suspect.
