HAMPDEN — A party held Saturday celebrated the 105th birthday of a Maine woman who was born on April 1, 1905.
Edna Bragg said five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren planned to attend the event at the Phillips-Strickland House in Bangor, where she now lives.
It’s the second party for Bragg, whose birthday was on Thursday. Hampden Senior Citizens, a group of active residents, threw a party last week.
Bragg says April Fool’s birthdays run in the family. Four generations share the birth date: Bragg, her daughter, a grandson and a great-great-grandson, who turned 9.
