Two teams from the North Atlantic Figure Skating Club won gold medals at the Boston Synchronized Skating Classic on March 27 at the Skating Club of Boston.

Lori Johnson of Portland coaches both teams, which compete in the open pre-juvenile and open adult divisions. Skaters on the pre-juvenile team, who range in age from 7 to 13, performed to “One Step at a Time” by Jordin Sparks. The skaters include Sophie Calderwood of Brunswick, Caroline DeNoia of Falmouth, Leah Israel of Cape Elizabeth, Sadie Pressman of Harpswell, Caroline Samaras of Yarmouth and Gorham sisters Beth, Katie and Cecilia Kusturin.

The adult team, ages 20 to 58, performed to “Allegreto” by Bond. Members include Cindy Bolles and Jordan Driscoll of Yarmouth, David Brook of Raymond, Kathy Cain and Jonathon Henderson of Auburn, Amy Carlson of Biddeford, Heidi Coffin of Brunswick, Carrie McCormick of Freeport, John Niles Merrill of Hallowell, Caroline Paras of Portland, Molly Spindler of Westbrook, Birgitta Westberg-Tupper of Kennebunk and Nina Orchard of Rochester, N.H.
