The following American Red Cross blood drives are open to the public:


1 to 6 p.m., Bardwell Chiropractic, Yarmouth


10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Chewonki Foundation, Wiscasset


9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Elks Lodge, Sanford

10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Vinalhaven Community School, Vinalhaven


1:30 to 6:30 p.m., Trinity Episcopal Church, Saco


10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dunkin Donuts, Wells

Noon to 6 p.m., YMCA, Bath

April 14

10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Andover College, South Portland


The Portland Donor Center, 524 Forest Ave., is open noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month,

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, except holidays; and noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Blood donated through the American Red Cross can be sent to patients at medical centers throughout New England. Platelet donors also are needed, with donations by appointment.
