MANCHESTER, N.H.—Bud Holloway scored two minutes into overtime as the Manchester Monarchs took a 3-0 lead in their AHL playoffs series against the Portland Pirates at the Verizon Wireless Center Monday night.

The Monarchs opened the scoring 35 seconds into the game when former Lewiston Maineiac Marc-Andre Cliché put in the first shot of the game for a goal.

Portland defenseman Mike Weber tied the score 7:43 into the second period when he put in a shot from the top of left circle.

Game 4 of the best-of-seven series will be played tonight in Manchester.
