PORTLAND — Testifying at his trial, a former Maine music teacher denies inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl during an amusement park ride.
James Raymond, of Auburn, is on trial in U.S. District Court in Portland, charged with taking two young sisters to a New Hampshire park with the intent of engaging in sexual activity.
On the stand today, Raymond denied touching the private parts of the older girl while on a water ride. Prosecutors, meanwhile, focused on Raymond’s interest in young girls and his purchase of access to child pornography websites.
WCSH-TV reports that the trial resumes Monday.
