Sanford Junior High will sponsor a Vacation Celebration Dance For A Cause 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Nasson Community Center Gymnasium. DJ Rochana Walsh will provide the music. Admission is $5. All proceeds will benefit the Springvale Public Library.

Cruisin’ to Graduation show

The “Cruisin’ to Graduation” Car Show, benefitting Project Graduation, will be held at Medomak Valley High School Sunday featuring more then 400 vehicles in 33 classes. Three trophies per class will be awarded.

The event includes music, a Loudest Pipe Contest, a Children’s Pedal Toy Parade and a silent auction. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students; ages 5 and younger free. Audiology workshop

Pine Tree Society’s Audiology program will host an open house May 5 at 149 Front St. featuring free hearing screenings and a workshop on advances in hearing aid technology.

Ten-minute hearing screenings will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. One-hour workshops at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. will help those with hearing loss consider what type of hearing aid will best meet their needs.

Douglas Preston will speak about his newest non-fiction book “The Monster of Florence” at 7 p.m. today in the Morrell Meeting Room at Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St.
