PORTLAND — Night work along an eight-mile stretch of the Maine Turnpike started this week and is expected to continue throughout the summer.
The Maine Turnpike Authority said in a press release that residents and businesses between Mile 44 in Scarborough and Mile 52 in Falmouth may experience some noise from the work, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The scope of the project includes milling, paving, replacing guardrails and upgrading storm-water systems.
Pike Industries of Westbrook is doing the $3.8 million project, which is expected to be completed by September.
