WELLESLEY, Mass. — Bowdoin’s women’s softball team had its season end today, losing 5-1 to Coast Guard in an NCAA Regional game at Wellesley College.

The Polar Bears finished with a program-record 34 wins.

Coast Guard catcher Amanda Frederick had three hits and three RBI in the win.

Bowdoin had just seven hits. Kara Nilan had three and Hillary Smyth had two doubles.
