MANSFIELD, Conn. — Andrew Keirstead gave up just two earned runs in 51⁄3 innings to lead eighth-seeded St. Joseph’s College to a 3-2 win over No. 3 seed Western New England in an elimination game Friday at the NCAA Division III New England baseball regional.

The win propelled the Monks (34-12) into tonight’s late game against No. 2 Wheaton College (32-8). It is expected to begin at 8:45, with the winner advancing to the championship round on Saturday.

Mason Roberge provided 32⁄3 innings of scoreless relief. He gave up just two hits and one walk.

Western New England scored in the first inning, but St. Joe’s went ahead 3-1 in the third, scoring all of its runs on a walk and four singles. Todd Keneborus, Ben Grant-Roy and Pat Moran each had RBI singles.
