STANDISH — A 10-year-old boy has been taken by ambulance to a Portland hospital after he was bitten in the face by a dog.
According to emergency dispatchers for the town of Standish, the incident happened around 9 p.m. at 10 Twin Pines Drive.
The extent of the injuries and the circumstances leading up to the attack are unknown. The boy was taken to Mercy Hospital in Portland.
Jack Freitas, Standish’s animal control officer, is at the property.
