BIDDEFORD — Biddeford took the lead with four runs in the fourth inning and held off McAuley for an 8-6 victory Wednesday in an SMAA softball game.

Christina McCurry hit a two-run single and Heather Fecteau added an RBI single in the winning rally.
Shelby Bryant had a two-run double and Gabby Townsend added a two-run single in the top of the fourth as the Lions (10-4) opened a 6-3 lead. Bryant finished with three hits and Townsend had two.

Sarah Gilblair struck out eight and had two hits for the Tigers (10-4).

MEDOMAK VALLEY 14, ROCKLAND 1: Lindsey Ranquist had two hits with four RBI and Heidi Obuchon had three hits with two RBI as the Panthers beat the Tigers in five innings at Waldoboro.

Zoey Proctor drove in Rockland’s run.

YARMOUTH 4, FALMOUTH 1: Morgan Ruetty drove in two runs with a base hit in the first inning and singled in another run in the third as Yarmouth (8-7) downed the Yachtsmen (5-9) at Falmouth.

GORHAM 4, WESTBROOK 1: Alex Tracy struck out eight and gave up three hits and one walk as the Rams (3-11) defeated Westbrook (2-12) at Gorham.

Gorham took control in the fourth inning, scoring four runs with four consecutive hits. Kelsey Kewin and Caroline Fogarty had RBI singles in the inning, and Leah Keene capped the rally with a two-run triple.

GREELY 12, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Michaela Finnegan drove in three runs with a single and double to pace the Rangers (12-2) to a five-inning win over Traip Academy (0-13) at Cumberland.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 8, POLAND 0: Natalie Tombarelli doubled, singled twice and knocked in three runs to lead the Patriots (11-2) over Poland (3-11) at Gray.

Laura Getchell pitched a three-hitter with 16 strikeouts.

WELLS 7, FREEPORT 5: Sabrina Link scored the winning run on a bunt by Jill Sledzieski in the fifth inning and Wells (8-5) held off Freeport (4-10) at Wells.

Monica Link added an RBI single in the sixth.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5, LAKE REGION 4: Maggie McConkey tripled and Charlotte Lewis and Kelsey Sheehan each had an RBI single in the sixth inning as the Raiders (14-1) rallied past the Lakers (3-11) at Fryeburg.

Meghan Craffey hit a two-run triple for Lake Region.

MT. ARARAT 3, LEWISTON 2: Meghan Carr scored Liz Andreason with a double to snap a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the ninth as the Eagles (6-8) edged the Blue Devils (0-14) at Topsham.

SCARBOROUGH 5, SANFORD 1: Mo Hannan and Heather Carrier homered to lead the Red Storm (13-1) over Sanford (8-6) at Scarborough.

Erin Giles pitched a three-hitter and struck out 11.

DEERING 10, MASSABESIC 2: The Rams (6-8) scored four runs in the sixth and seventh innings and beat the Mustangs (3-11) at Waterboro.

Kayle Presby and Nicole Mason each singled home a run and Fiona Densmore added a two-run single in the sixth.

WINDHAM 4, MARSHWOOD 0: Brianna Johnson hit an RBI double in the third and Kayla Kennedy had a two-run double in the fifth as the Eagles (2-12) pulled away from the Hawks (5-10) at South Berwick.
Sara Richards pitched a three-hitter and struck out six.

CAPE ELIZABETH 18, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: The Capers had a five-run first inning and a seven-run fourth to rout the Seagulls at Old Orchard Beach.

YARMOUTH 15, GREELY 10: Danielle Torres and Molly Curry each had four goals and two assists as the Clippers (9-3) topped the Rangers at Yarmouth.

Melanie Howland had five goals for Greely.

KENNEBUNK 13, GORHAM 8: Brooke Worcester scored four goals and Camille Auger finished with three goals and four assists to lead visiting Kennebunk (7-3) over Gorham (8-1).

Kali St. Germain, Shannon Wilcox and Mia Rapolla had two goals each for Gorham.

WINDHAM 12, BIDDEFORD 6: Samantha Clapp had five goals and Samantha Gifford and Kassie Reutliger added two goals each to lead Windham (7-3-1) over the Tigers (2-8) at Biddeford.

Jackie McCurry led Biddeford with three goals.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 8, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4: Tia White had four goals as Mountain Valley (2-7) defeated the Raiders (0-9) at Fryeburg.

Aslyn Dindorf led Fryeburg Academy with two goals.
