Berwick Police are investigating a car crash Saturday on Blackberry Hill Road that sent one woman to the hospital with serious injuries.
Jessica Linscott, 37, of South Berwick, was traveling north in a 1997 Saturn when it left the roadway around 7:25 p.m. and struck a tree. Linscott was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H., with serious injuries.
As of 11 a.m. today, Linscott was in stable condition, a nursing supervisor at the hospital said.
Linscott was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Police, who were on the scene this morning, say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
Police are asking people with information to call the department at 698-1136.
