PORTLAND — The body of a 24-year-old man was found in a hot tub early Monday morning.

Lt. Gary Rogers identified the man as Ryan Garrett of Portland. The body was discovered in an outdoor hot tub at a home on Dibiase Street, in a neighborhood off outer Forest Avenue.

Rogers said nothing criminal is suspected. The state Medical Examiner’s Office did an autopsy, but the results were not available Monday night.

Portland police and fire personnel found Garrett’s body after responding to a 911 call around 5:20 a.m.

PORTLAND — Pollce are investigating the death of a 24-year-old man in the Deering neighborhood this morning.

Lt. Gary Rogers said a relative of the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, called police around 5;20 a.m.

An autopsy will be done today at the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta.

Police are calling it an unattended death and have not said whether foul play is suspected.

Rogers said the man’s name and other details will be withheld until police can gather more information.
