Incumbent York County Sheriff Maurice Ouellette continued to hold a lead over challenger Paul Main in partial returns in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.
With 26 of 48 precincts reporting, Ouellette held a 54 percent to 46 percent lead.
Several towns in the county rely on paper ballots that must be counted by hand and tallies were trickling in this morning, county officials said.
