STANDISH – Colin Mello hit an RBI single during a four-run fourth inning Friday, and sixth-seeded Windham went on to upset third-ranked Bonny Eagle 5-2 in a Western Class A baseball quarterfinal.

Cody Dube scattered eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks for Windham (10-7).

Lincoln Sanborn of Bonny Eagle (10-7) allowed two earned runs and struck out 10 in a three-hitter.

Evan Spencer and Tyler Ruby had two hits apiece, and Kevin Moskevich added an RBI single for the Scots.

 

BIDDEFORD 8, SCARBOR-OUGH 1: Travis Vigneault hit a two-run double and Tyler Audie added a three-run triple in a seven-run 11th inning as seventh-ranked Biddeford (10-7) upset the second-seeded Red Storm (12-5) in a Western Class A quarterfinal at Scarborough.

The Tigers scored an unearned run in the second and led 1-0 until the seventh.

Scarborough tied it when Jake Rutt was issued a leadoff walk, stole second and third, then was awarded home because of an interference call against the third baseman.

Biddeford starter Trevor Fleurent pitched nine innings, giving up three hits and striking out 12. Ben Wessel pitched 10 innings for Scarborough, striking out five with four walks and allowing six hits.

 

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, OAK HILL 0: Conor Moloney pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks to lift the top-ranked Capers (16-1) over the eighth-seeded Raiders (10-8) in a Western Class B quarterfinal at Cape Elizabeth.

Rob MacDonald scored for the Capers on a two-out single by Jack Barber in the second inning. MacDonald added a two-out RBI double in the fourth.

GREELY 4, LISBON 0: Dan O’Brion struck out 11 and walked two in a three-hitter as the fifth-ranked Rangers (11-6) pulled away from the fourth-seeded Greyhounds (13-4) in a Western Class B quarterfinal at Lisbon Falls.

Greely opened the scoring on a fielder’s choice in the second inning, then broke the game open with a three-run seventh, including a two-run single by Mark Dominick and a bases-loaded walk to Ben Walsh.

 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 7, WISCASSET 2: Dean Darien hit a three-run double during a seven-run sixth inning as the fourth-seeded Panthers (12-4-1) rallied past the fifth-ranked Redskins (10-7) in a Western Class C quarterfinal at Yarmouth.

Darien also struck out seven of the first nine batters en route to a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts.
