AUBURN — Maine State Police and local police are at the scene of what they’re describing as a suspicious death in Auburn.

Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland says a man was found dead when police responded to a 911 call at 5:30 a.m. at an Auburn apartment.

He says the call was made by another resident of the apartment.

Police haven’t released the identity of the victim. The body will be taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for an autopsy.
