LEWISTON — An Army Reserve unit from Maine is home again after a year in Iraq.

Today, members of the 619th Transportation Co. walked into the Lewiston Collisee to applause from family members and friends.

The 170-soldier unit was deployed to Tallil, Iraq, for one year. The unit drove a total of 600,000 miles and hauled 30,000 tons of equipment and supplies throughout southern Iraq.

The 619th Transportation Co. is based in Dexter and Auburn. It was the unit’s second deployment to Iraq.
