Ryan Arsenault of Portland was named Pitcher of the Week in the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League after throwing a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk for the Saint John O’Leary’s Alpines in a 1-0 win over the Charlottetown Islanders on June 12.
Don Libby of Scarborough hit a 9-iron 132 yards for a hole-in-one on the fourth hole at South Portland Municipal Golf Course on June 14.
Chris Nappi of Portland aced the sixth hole at Riverside Golf Course on June 15. Nappi used a 7-iron for the 185-yard shot, which was witnessed by Chris Bailey. It was Nappi’s first hole-in-one.
Bill Jarvey recorded his second hole-in-one this month when he aced the 127-yard 13th hole at Spring Meadows Golf Club on June 12. Jarvey used an 8-iron to make the shot, witnessed by Matt Trudel and Brian Wood.
Sharon Roy of Farmingdale scored her first hole-in-one on June 15 at Spring Meadows Golf Club. Roy used a 4-hybrid for the 148-yard shot, witnessed by Christine Sullivan.
