PORTLAND – Tyler Flaherty had a double and a single, driving in three runs, to lead First Title to an 11-1 victory against Falmouth in an American Legion baseball game Thursday.

The game was called after five innings because of thunder and lightning.

Louie DiStasio added two hits and two runs with three RBI for First Title (3-1). Harry Ridge pitched five strong innings for First Title against Falmouth (1-3), giving up one run on six hits and a walk, striking out two. 

STAPLES CROSSING 5, SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 4: Jacob Chamblee pitched a complete game and was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI for Staples Crossing, which took a 5-0 lead in the first two innings and held on at Biddeford.

Riley Sawyer pitched 51/3 innings of three-hit shutout relief for Saco & Biddeford Savings. 

SWASEY-TORREY 8, BRUNSWICK 3: Aaron Fenstermacher had two hits, including a double, for Swasey-Torrey (2-1) against Brunswick (1-3) at Dixfield.

Eric Bolduc pitched four innings for the win, allowing three runs on three hits with three walks. Swasey-Torrey drew five walks in the first inning to score three runs.

Shane Lizotte hit a three-run homer for Brunswick in the fourth inning. 

LIBBY-MITCHELL 3, ANDREWS POST 0: Ryan Mancini pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk to lead Libby-Mitchell (2-2) over Andrews Post (0-4) at Scarborough.

Joe Davis of Libby-Mitchell hit a single and an RBI double, scored twice and stole two bases, and Ian Ramsdell added an RBI single.

Caleb Fraser hit a single and a double for Andrews.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, BONNY EAGLE 2: Matty Pierce hit an RBI double and Pat Tyler added a run-scoring single during a two-run fifth inning as Cape Elizabeth (2-0) pulled away from Bonny Eagle (1-4) at home.

Will LeBlond added a two-run double for Cape.

Matt Burwell hit two singles and scored for Bonny Eagle. 

FALMOUTH 6, SMITH-TOBEY POST 3: Jeremy Lydick hit a grand slam to center field in the third inning for Falmouth (3-3) at home against Smith-Tobey Post (2-3-1).

Lydick’s homer came with Falmouth trailing, 3-2.

The game was called in the bottom of the sixth because of thunder and lightning.

YARMOUTH POST 91 7, FREEPORT MEDICAL 1: Thomas Sullivan and Ryan Cote each hit an RBI double, and Ian Grover added an RBI single during a five-run fourth inning as Yarmouth Post 91 (4-1) took advantage of three errors and pulled away from Freeport Medical (0-4) at Freeport.

Calen Cyr hit an RBI single for Freeport Medical.

BLUE SOX 6, MAINERS 2: Maxx Catapano struck out eight in a two-hitter to lead Holyoke (5-9) over Sanford (9-6) at Holyoke, Mass.

Catapano allowed one earned run on six hits and a walk. Eric Oxford was 4 for 5 with a double and four RBI for Holyoke.

Anthony Gomez doubled twice and scored for Sanford.
