BROOKS — A 48-year-old Maine man charged with shooting his wife to death at their home in Brooks has been ordered held without bail.
Michael Littlefield had his initial court appearance today via video link from Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset. Prosecutors have asked to have bail revoked, and a hearing is scheduled for Thursday. A judge ordered Littlefield held behind bars until then.
Maine State Police say the body of 49-year-old Deborah Littlefield was found when emergency crews arrived at her home on Friday evening. Michael Littlefield was found a short time later and arrested. Police say a rifle believed used in the killing was recovered.
