SCARBOROUGH – Lincoln Sanborn pitched a seven-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Libby-Mitchell Post defeated Stockhouse Restaurant and Sports Pub 7-1 Tuesday night in an American Legion baseball game.

Sanborn’s sacrifice fly in the first inning scored Joe Davis, who had tripled. Davis hit an RBI single in the second and Libby-Mitchell (4-3) added a run in the fourth on an error.

Libby-Mitchell scored two in the fifth on Kevin Philbrick’s sacrifice fly and a wild pitch. Ben Wessel singled home its final run in the sixth.

Joe Quinlan and Tom Lemay were repeat hitters for Stockhouse (3-2).

 

MORRILL POST 11, YARMOUTH 4: Ryan Curit’s two-run single highlighted a seven-run sixth inning for Morrill Post (3-1) at South Portland.

Luke Pierce hit a two-run single for Yarmouth.

 

SWASEY-TORREY 4, SMITH-TOBEY 1: Aaron Fenstermacher pitched a four-hitter and Tyler Gates had two hits with two RBI as Swasey-Torrey (3-4) handled Smith-Tobey (4-5) at Dixfield.

John Wallace had two hits for Smith-Tobey.

 

BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 4, NOBLE 3: Tyler Laverriere’s two-run single in the sixth gave Biddeford Savings a 4-2 lead over visiting Noble.

Taylor Reuillard had two hits, including an RBI single in the fourth for Biddeford Savings.

Josh Reynolds had three hits for Noble.

 

FAYETTE STAPLES 8, KENNEBUNK 1: Alex Newton and Sam Canales each had three hits and two RBI to lead Fayette Staples (4-2) to a win at Kennebunk (2-3).

Keegan Sullivan allowed one run on four hits in 51/3 innings to earn the win.

FIRST TITLE 19, MOODY’S COLLISION 4: Peter Potthoff had three hits with a double, two runs and an RBI to help First Title (6-1) down Moody’s Collision (1-6) at Gorham.

Tyler Flaherty added a triple and three RBI, and Nick Lops had a triple and two RBI.

 

YORK 10, MASSABESIC 6: Alex Mercurio was 2 for 4 with three RBI to help York (3-3) defeat Massabesic (1-4) at Waterboro.

 

CUMBERLAND 7, ANDREWS 6: Will Mac-Adoo doubled home Jimmie Whittaker with the tying run in the bottom of the seventh and scored the winning run on Brad McKenney’s single to give Cumberland (3-4) a victory at home.

STAPLES CROSSING 13, SANFORD 0: Luke Fernandes had four RBI with a double and a triple and scored three times, helping Staples Crossing (7-0) to a five-inning win at South Berwick.

LIBBY-MITCHELL 12, FIRST TITLE 0: Greg Viola pitched a six-inning two-hitter as Libby-Mitchell (3-5) beat First Title (1-6) at Portland.

Viola also had three hits, four RBI and a run scored.

SEACOAST LAW & TITLE 17, LEBANON 2: Zach Bean had three hits, scored three runs and knocked in three as Seacoast Law & Title (3-2) defeated Lebanon (1-6) in five innings at Westbrook.

Bean also gave up two hits while pitching the first four innings.

Cale Bollig had two hits and two RBI for Seacoast.

 

FALMOUTH 5, COASTAL ATHLETICS 0: Conner Murphy allowed one hit in four innings with four strikeouts and no walks to help Falmouth (5-4) down visiting Coastal Athletics (4-1).

Will Dagostino picked up the save with one strikeout and two hits in three innings. Ryan Conley broke it open with a two-run double in the fifth.

OA-YARMOUTH 11, BRISTOL SEAFOOD 8: Bryce Snyder doubled home three runs and scored on Nick Lainey’s single as OA-Yarmouth (6-4) scored six times in the fourth inning to open a 10-3 lead at Yarmouth.

 

ALL SPORTS PRINTING 7, CUMBERLAND 5: Brad Myers’ two-run single sparked a four-run rally in the fifth as All-Sports Printing (2-7) took a 6-3 lead over Cumberland (2-4) at Standish.

Connor McCarthy had three hits and two RBI for Cumberland.

KENNEBUNK 6, FAYETTE STAPLES 4: Eric Cressey and Austin Cressey combined for four hits and three RBI to lead Kennebunk (5-1) past Fayette Staples (4-4) at Saco.

Steve Harmon had three hits and two RBI for Fayette Staples.

 

SANFORD 1, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Ryan Camire pitched a two-hitter and struck out seven as Sanford (2-6) beat visiting South Portland.

Matt DiBiase pitched a one-hitter and struck out nine for South Portland (4-3), allowing an unearned run in the first inning.

LEWISTON 2, WESTBROOK 0: Tuck Beaudoin pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk, and Ryan Riordan had a two-run single in the second inning as Lewiston won at Westbrook (6-1).

SANFORD 5, NEW BEDFORD 2: The visiting Mainers (12-8) went ahead for good with two runs in the seventh inning against the Bay Sox (7-10) when Pat Cantwell tripled home Bobby Doyon to tie it at 2 and scored on a single by Matt Marra.

Jim Schult had three hits, including a home run, for Sanford.
