WEST FORKS — Two rafting outfitters that have operated on Maine’s Kennebec River are now one.
Magic Rivers Rafting Co., based in West Forks, has purchased New England Outdoor Center’s Kennebec River business.
New England Outdoor Center of Millinocket agreed to the sale so it can focus its rafting operations on the Penobscot River in Maine’s Katahdin region.
The sale of rafts and gear, and transfer of river allocations, were completed on June 1.
Magic Falls Rafting was established in 1989. New England Outdoor Center was established in 1982.
