SOUTH PORTLAND – Chris Bernard had a double and a triple, scored a run and drove in another Thursday to lead Libby-Mitchell to a 9-3 victory against Morrill Post in an American Legion baseball game.

Libby-Mitchell took advantage of five errors to score six unearned runs against Morrill (3-2).

Ben Wessel gave up five hits, walked one and struck out two for Libby-Mitchell.

FALMOUTH 7, ANDREWS POST 5: Dillon Dresser drove in the winning run in the sixth inning with his second single of the game as Falmouth (2-3) beat Andrews Post (0-8) at home.

Nick Spencer squeezed home the tying run earlier in the sixth. Matt MacDowell had an RBI double in the inning, and went 3 for 3 with three RBI and a two-run homer in the first.

Rudy DiMillo had three hits for Andrews, including a double.

SWASEY-TORREY 11, ANDY VALLEY 4: Aaron Fenstermacher had three hits and drove in two runs to lead Swasey-Torrey (5-4) over Andy Valley (0-8) in a Zone 3 game at Dixfield.

Whitey Moulton added two hits and two RBI, and Cliff Turner finished with two hits, three runs and an RBI for Swasey-Torrey.

Alex Brochu hit a three-run homer in the second inning for Andy Valley.

KENNEBUNK 11, POST 87 NOBLE 4: Christian Plunkett had three hits, scored two runs and drove in another to lead Kennebunk (3-3) over Post 87 Noble (0-7) in a Zone 5 at North Berwick.

Rusty French added two hits and two RBI for Kennebunk, which broke the game open with six runs in the fifth inning.

Aaron Moore and Josh Rogers each hit two-run doubles for Noble.

STAPLES CROSSING 10, YORK 5: Jake Chamblee went 4 for 4 with two runs and two RBI to pace Staples Crossing (8-0) against York (3-4) at South Berwick.

Eric Spears and Ben Yarian each added two hits and an RBI, and Ben Claus also had two hits for Staples.

SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS, MASSABESIC SPLIT: Robert Cote and Taylor Reuillard each had two hits and three RBI for Saco-Biddeford Savings (5-2) in a 13-7 victory against Massabesic (2-5) in the second game at Biddeford.

In the opener, Massabesic took a 7-3 lead in the fourth inning and held on to win, 7-5. Hunter Duncan had two hits and scored three runs.

NOVA SEAFOOD 10, MOODY’S 6: Devon Fitzgerald tripled, doubled and scored a run for Nova Seafood (8-0), which took a 10-1 lead and held off Moody’s (1-7) in a Zone 4 game at Gorham.

Steven Broy had three hits, including two doubles, drove in two runs and scored once for Moody’s.

JUNIOR LEGION

SEACOAST LAW & TITLE 4, COLE POST 1: Matt Moody hit an RBI single during a three-run third inning, and finished with three hits and two runs to lead Seacoast Law & Title (4-2) at Westbrook.

Trever Clouatre added two hits, one RBI and one run for Seacoast.

Seacoast pitchers Aaron Duncanson, Brandon Rogers and Mitchell Chipman combined on a three-hitter.

LEWISTON 4, LIBBY-MITCHELL 3: Ryan Riordan singled in the winning run in the seventh inning for Lewiston (10-1) against Libby-Mitchell (3-6) at Scarborough.

Matt Bowen hit an RBI double earlier in the seventh to make it 3-3. Chris Madden and Shawn Ricker added three hits each for Lewiston.

Greg Viola hit a two-run single in the fourth to give Libby-Mitchell a 3-0 lead.

Sam Wessel went 3 for 4 with a double for Libby-Mitchell.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 10, CAPE ELIZABETH 6: Ryan Cavallaro went 3 for 3 with a double, two runs and two RBI to lead Gray-New Gloucester at Cape Elizabeth (5-2).

BRISTOL SEAFOOD 4, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Taylor Py had two hits and two RBI, and Jamie Gullbrand also drove in a run to lead Bristol Seafood (7-2) at Portland.

Py’s second RBI single broke a 2-2 tie in the third inning.

Dan Mador hit a solo homer and pitched a complete game for South Portland. He allowed three hits, walked two and struck out eight.
