LINCOLN, Maine — More than 1,000 people attended this year’s annual homecoming parade in Lincoln, with the theme “Just Cartooning Around.”

Budgeted by the town at $31,000, the four-day festival from Thursday through today is Lincoln’s largest of the year.

Today’s events included a 5K race, and golf and basketball tourneys.

The homecoming, which has gone by several names over the years, typically attracts people from as far away as Alaska. It also features a fireworks show, dances, barbecues, a road race, ATV runs, auctions, car shows and live music.
