Freeport recently bestowed awards on its top spring athletes.
The baseball team gave its Heart of the Falcons award to Spencer Egan. Jared Knighton won the Falcon Pride award. Connor Dietrich took home the Booster’s Pride and Character Award.
The junior varsity baseball team gave Athletic Excellence awards to Dan Burke and Thomas Cyr, while D.J. Mooney won the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
Softball’s Most Valuable Player was Leigh Wyman. Jessica Kane was named Most Improved Player. Whitney Bibeau took home the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
The JV squad gave Athletic Excellence awards to K.C. Breed and Laura Ramage. Brina Dillon won the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
The boys’ lacrosse team enjoyed a run to the Eastern B semifinals this spring. Coaches’ awards went to Jackson Dodge and Josh Sturtevant. Thomas Dorsey won the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
The JV team gave its Athletic Excellence award to Sam Farrar and its Booster’s Pride and Character Award to Jordan Roy.
Girls’ lacrosse’s Rookie of the Year was Jocelyn Davee. Kayla Thurlow was named Most Improved Player. Shelby Colvin got the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
The JV Booster’s Pride and Character award went to Tallie Martin.
Outdoor track and field gave Finish Line awards to Chris Anthony and Bryn Gallagher, Starting Line awards to Victor Skoropa and Caroline Rowell and Booster’s Pride and Character awards to Nate Pfeffer and Kaylon Brown.
Boys’ tennis gave Coaches’ awards to Jake Albright and Ian Connelly. Chris West received the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
Girls’ tennis gave Coaches’ awards to Erin Hall and Marissa Lewis. Sarah West took home the Booster’s Pride and Character award.
Henry Loughlin and Hannah Schuchert were named the All-Sports Boosters Senior Athletes of the Year.
Loughlin and Schuchert, along with Adrian Baker, Kiera Berkemeyer, Jackson Dodge, Thomas Dorsey, Hannah Goodenow and Eric Wold were All-Sports Boosters scholarship recipients.
Kayla Bibeau, Whitney Bibeau, Kaylon Brown, Shelby Colvin, Ian Connelly, Hannah Goodenow, Lauren Parker, Hannah Schuchert, Josh Sturtevant and Lucy Whitacre all qualified for the Western Maine Conference’s All-Academic team.
