NEW FACES

Phil Saucier has joined Bernstein Shur as part of the Municipal and Regulatory Practice Group. He previously worked in the office of Gov. John Baldacci as senior policy and legal adviser for health policy.

Ryan Wing has been hired as operations manager for Legacy Publishing of Westbrook. He has more than 10 years of experience as a network administrator and operations manager at Yankee Microwave in Harrison.

Annelise Conway and William Cary have joined the Portland Museum of Art. Conway, hired as senior major gifts and planned giving officer, has many years of experience working in development at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Woodward School and Milton Academy. Cary, hired as director of member services, has six years of experience in the development field at the Brooklyn Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Rachel Cole has been hired by Catholic Charities Maine as support and recovery services case manager. She previously was employed by the Jewish Family & Children’s Service in Boston.

G.M. Pollack & Sons Jewelers has promoted Amanda Gendreau to manager in the Biddeford store and Bonnie Smith to manager in the Windham store. Diane Peacock has been named manager of the Lewiston Mall store, having worked in the Brunswick store for five years.

Ainsley Coll has been promoted to assistant portfolio manager at Ram Trust Services. She previously was a portfolio assistant, having joined the firm in 2007.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Dr. Elaine Potoker, professor at Maine Maritime Academy, was awarded the designation of senior specialist in business administration by the Fulbright Program. It places Potoker on the State Department’s roster of academic experts for potential consultation and assistance.

Carole Kline of Premier Properties in Raymond was presented with the Western Maine Board of Realtors’ 2010 Realtor of the Year Award.

Martin Grimnes, chief executive officer of Harbor Technologies, was named CEO of the Year by TechMaine. The award recognizes the accomplishments of the state’s technology sectors and honors Maine’s top technology companies and individuals.

Smart Growth gave three awards at the annual meeting of the Friends of Midcoast Maine. The awards recognized Bettina Doulton of Cellardoor Winery in Lincolnville, Amtrak, and the Port Clyde Fishermen’s Co-op.

Hugh Keene received the Alexander Ferguson Award for Outstanding Credit Union Volunteer from the Maine Credit Union League. Keene is chairman of the board of directors at Community Credit Union.

GENERAL

Pete Garrett, president of Maine Properties Inc. of Scarborough, has received the Professional Community Association Manager designation from the Community Associations Institute.

Q-Team Tree Service of Naples is celebrating 25 years in business. The company has grown from one employee, Robert Fogg, to 18 full- and part-time employees with a large garage and office on Route 11.
