PORTLAND — Police are looking for a suspect they believe could be involved in a string of recent armed robberies.

Robberies on July 13, 18 and 19, all on Forest Avenue, reportedly involved a younger, white man wielding a large butcher’s knife.

The July 13 robbery happened at Scrub A Dub car wash, 1185 Forest Ave., around 7:55 p.m. The suspect displayed the knife and demanded money. He was described as a white male, in his late 20s, with a mustache and facial hair under his lip. He was wearing a two-toned hooded sweatshirt.

On July 18, the Dollar Store in the Forest Avenue Plaza was robbed at 3:25 p.m. The suspect threatened the clerk with a large butcher’s knife and demanded cash. He was described as a white man, mid-20s, wearing a red hoodie with the hood up.

The July 19 robbery was at Dominoes Pizza, 788 Forest Ave. The suspect, described as a white man in his early 30s with a goatee, was reportedly wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. He threatened the clerk with a large knife and demanded money.

Police asked anyone with information to call detectives at 874-8533.
