Tour Great Diamond homes and gardens

NORMALLY, the private community of Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay can only be glimpsed by pre-arranged tours. But on Wednesday, a number of the island’s fabulous homes (both historic and contemporary) and gardens will be open for public inspection. Leave your dogs and strollers at home, just don’t forget your walking shoes.

WHEN: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday

WHERE: Great Diamond Island, accessible by private boat, water taxi or Casco Bay ferry
