LINCOLNVILLE — Police say a 17-year-old boy died after disappearing while swimming in a lake in the coastal Maine town of Lincolnville.
Police Chief Ron Young said the body of Devon Stewart, of Warren, was recovered Saturday morning from Megunticook Lake.
Young said Stewart went missing Friday afternoon while swimming across the lake with three friends.
He said Stewart turned back after swimming part way across, while his friends continued to the other side. When the friends arrived back at the other side, Stewart couldn’t be found.
