PORTLAND — Capisic Street, between Colonial Road and Macy Street, will be closed to through traffic starting Monday so that crews can install new sewer lines.

Nicole Clegg, spokeswoman for the city of Portland, said drivers will be detoured down Lucas Street and Colonial Road. The closure will remain in effect between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and will last for about one week.

The project should take about two weeks to complete.

Clegg said motorists may want to seek alternate routes to avoid traffic delays during that time.
