Eastport’s Pirate Festival is adding a new feature this year: an international lobster boat race.
While not a part of the sanctioned lobster boat race circuit, the Pirate Festival race offers a grand prize of $1,000 – and bragging rights, of course.

Working boats and pleasure boats from Maine, New Brunswick, Canada and other off-shore islands are eligible to enter the race, which will have about 12 racing categories. There is a $20 entry fee.
