AUGUSTA — A delegation of banking executives from Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon are scheduled to visit Maine.
Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap says he’ll host the visitors today as part of the World Bank Study Tour. The delegation will meet with state officials, representatives from InforME, the state’s e-government partner, and local banking officials.
Their agenda includes how to set up a secured transactions registry, similar to the online filing system run by the Maine Secretary of State’s department.
The World Bank Group in Washington is coordinating visits to Maine and Massachusetts to help the three countries’ governments modernize their secured transactions laws and registries.
