KITTERY — Republican Dean Scontras is trading his dress shoes for running shoes as he make a run across the district.
Scontras said his run from Kittery to Portland that began today has been dubbed, “Running Down The Debt.” He’ll cover 57 miles, running seven miles every other day.
Scontras is trying to unseat Democratic Rep. Chellie Pingree in Maine’s 1st Congressional District.
Campaign Manager Jan Love says Scontras is planning another run for September. Details of that run haven’t yet been released.
