SOUTH PORTLAND — A crowd gathered outside Red’s Dairy Freeze early today and watched as the popular ice cream stand was demolished.
Red’s, a beloved icon at the foot of Meetinghouse Hill, was sidelined after an electrical fire on May 16.
Chiris Bolling, the owner of Red’s, has said he will rebuild in the same location.
The business was started in 1952 by Bolling’s father, Leonard ‘’Red’’ Bolling.
