AUGUSTA — Hearings for about 60 nominees for Maine judicial posts, boards and commissions wrap up early this week in advance of a Senate confirmation session.
On Monday, the Business, Research and Economic Development Committee holds hearings for 11 of Gov. John Baldacci’s nominees for state housing and development boards. The same committee takes up several more nominations Tuesday for development and Finance Authority of Maine boards.
The heavy slate of hearings got under way last week. Among those receiving endorsements for final approval were nearly a dozen appointees for state District and Superior courts.
The Senate meets Wednesday to vote on confirmations for all of the appointees.
