WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Obama will deliver his second annual back-to-school speech on Sept. 14, the White House announced today.

The president’s speech will be broadcast on television and online so it can be watched by students across the nation.

Last year, Obama encouraged students to study hard, stay in school and take responsibility for their education.

Some of the president’s opponents critized him for trying to promote his views through the nation’s schools.
