Falmouth’s Charlie Lalumiere [skipper] and Hannah Twombly [crew], both 15, recently completed a very successful season of sailing regattas in New England this summer sailing for the Portland Yacht club race team.

The pair finished in third place at the New Bedford Mass Junior Regatta, came in second place out of 36 boats in Portland at the Northeast Junior Olympics and in the most competitive race of the summer, they competed in the 420 North American championships in Brant Beach, N.J., and finished 17th out of 109 boats from all over the United States and Canada. They wrapped up the season at the Hyannis Mass., Regatta finishing 11th out of 110 boats.
