Lunch hour traffic was badly congested on I-295 southbound in Portland today after a four-car crash at about 11:30 a.m.
The accident occurred just north of a construction zone in the area of the Congress Street. Traffic was moving extremely slowly and backed up to the Falmouth line.
No one was seriously injured.
