SCARBOROUGH — The slate of candidates for the November municipal elections is set.

Three people will be competing for two three-year terms on the Town Council. They are Kerry Corthell and incumbents Judith Roy and Michael Wood.

Three others – James Benedict, Iver Carlsen and Richard Sullivan Jr. – are running to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Shawn Babine. The term for this seat expires in November 2011.

In the Board of Education race, incumbent John Cole, William Armishaw and Aymie Hardesty are competing for two seats with three-year terms.

David Nelson and Herbert Waldron are running for two trustee seats for the Scarborough Sanitary District. Robert McSorley is running to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Gary Lorfano from the Portland Water District Trustees. That term expires in November 2013.
