PORTLAND — A price-monitoring group says average retail gasoline prices in Maine have risen 0.1 cent per gallon in the past week.

MaineGasPrices.com says the average price statewide as of Monday was up to $2.67 per gallon. That compares with the national average, which has fallen 0.2 cents per gallon in the last week, to $2.68 per gallon.

Petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says that with gasoline supplies at the end of the summer driving season at the highest levels since records began in 1990, there will be significant pressure for prices to fall.
