SANFORD – Shawn Goodrich rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns and passed for another score Friday night to lead Sanford to a 32-19 victory against Marshwood in a Western Class A football game.

Sanford (2-0) scored on the opening kickoff — a 70-yard return by Nate McCabe for the only points of the first quarter — and added 19 points in the second for a 25-0 halftime lead.

The Redskins led 32-0 through three quarters before Marshwood (0-2) scored 19 points in the fourth.

Goodrich also had six solo tackles, eight assisted tackles and one interception. Justin Carlson added three solo and 17 assisted tackles.

Sanford finished with 372 yards of offense.

BRUNSWICK 35, SKOWHEGAN 12: Dylan Walton rushed nine times for 159 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Dragons (2-0) past the Indians (0-2) at Brunswick.

Walton ran 75 yards on the first play of the game for a touchdown. He added scoring runs of 31 and 42 yards in the second quarter.

Brandon Matt added 10 carries for 106 yards and scored on a 14-yard run in the second quarter.

Keith Kitchens, Derrick Darosa and Ezra Drehobl led the Brunswick defense.

Adam Dusty scored on an 8-yard run in the second quarter for Skowhegan. Ethan Johnson added a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

FALMOUTH 44, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Zach Alexander rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns and threw three touchdown passes to Jack Cooleen to lead the Yachtsmen (2-0) past the Raiders (1-1) at Portland.

Alexander completed eight passes, seven to Cooleen, who finished with 69 yards receiving.

Matt Kingry made three interceptions and threw a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Greg Oulton and Jack Orton combined for eight tackles.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 55, GRAY-NEW GLOCUESTER 0: Taylor Bradley scored on runs of 15 and 5 yards in the first quarter as Mountain Valley (2-0) opened a 27-0 lead against the Patriots (0-2) at Gray.

Cam Kaubris helped the Falcons increase their lead to 41-0 in the second period, returning an interception 20 yards for one touchdown and passing 6 yards to John Durland for another.

KENNEBUNK 22, NOBLE 0: Matt Dube was 11 of 19 passing for 175 yards and two touchdowns, and Nicco DeLorenzo rushed 10 times for 118 yards and a touchdown as the Rams (1-1) beat the Knights (0-2) at Kennebunk.

Ethan Drigotas made four catches for 70 yards and a touchdown, and linebacker Will Dumas added two interceptions for Kennebunk.

WELLS 54, LAKE REGION 8: Paul McDonough threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Warriors (2-0) scored three times on special teams to down the Lakers (0-2) at Naples.

J.T. Sherburne scored two touchdowns, including a 44-yard punt return, and Zach Deshaies recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and returned a kickoff 60 yards for a score.

LISBON 43, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Josh Pomerleau scored on 22- and 35-yard runs to help Lisbon (2-0) past the Seagulls (0-2) at Old Orchard Beach.

Tobey Harrington, who added a 5-yard touchdown run, combined with Pomerleau to account for the bulk of the Greyhounds’ 210 rushing yards. Harrington added a conversion rush and three conversion kicks.

GARDINER 38, MORSE 7: Alonzo Connor rushed for 184 yards, all in the first half, as the Tigers (2-0) defeated the Shipbuilders (0-2) at Bath.

LAWRENCE 14, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Blair Blaisdell rushed for 129 yards on 27 carries to help the Bulldogs (2-0) down the Red Eddies (0-2) at Auburn.

Lawrence allowed 4 yards in the second half and four first downs and 79 yards in the game.

JAY 25, MARANACOOK 8: Behind the running of Jordan Couture and Bill Calden and a swarming defense, the Tigers (2-0) downed the Black Bears (0-2) at Readfield.

The Tigers led 13-0 at the half behind a 15-yard fumble return by Andrew Stearns and an 8-yard run from Couture, who finished with 118 yards on 20 carries.
